To mark the 30 th anniversary of the International Year of Disabled Persons, two special prizes of volunteering in sport and leisure Dollard-Morin will be awarded to the National Assembly in autumn 2011. These awards recognize outstanding volunteer contributions made by and for persons with disabilities in recreation and sport. Both awards aim to recognize respectively:
Volunteering recreational or sport performed by a disabled person; And
Volunteering recreational or sport conducted by a non-disabled person with people with disabilities.
A nomination for each category will be filed for the Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine. Finalists will be honored at the Awards Gala ExcÉlan leisure and sport of the Regional Recreation and Sport Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Grande-Riviere.
